For more than 25 years, DJ ALX has performed at clubs, weddings and events across a wide range of crowds. California-born and now Texas-based, his background spans multiple eras of dance music and open-format DJ culture.
That history means ALX can reach back into the records that shaped the dance floor — funk, Hip-Hop, reggae, rock, pop and classics — while still moving naturally into today's Bollywood, Bhangra and mainstream favorites.
His strength is versatility without losing direction. Whether the room needs an old-school throwback, a current Desi anthem or a late-night club record, ALX knows how to move between styles while keeping the night connected.
ALX's years behind the decks give him the ability to understand where modern South Asian dance music came from — because he was part of helping shape that scene early on. In 2002, ALX and Yogi-G launched a radio show that helped push Desi club culture and crossover sounds in Texas, long before today's Indo House wave had a name.
That same forward-thinking mindset is still part of his sound today. From old-school classics to Bollywood, Bhangra and modern Indo House, ALX continues to evolve while helping introduce newer South Asian club sounds to wedding and event dance floors across Texas.
